January Meeting

Hello all Sno-Seekers!

Our January meeting was postponed due to weather and will now be held on Tuesday January 22nd at the Standish Town Hall. The meeting will begin promptly at 6pm with coffee and snacks being served. We have a lot of exciting projects to discuss including the purchase of new grooming equipment, grant proposals, trail changes, fundraising events, etc.!

We opened the gates last week and a few of us rode the trails and groomed last weekend. We are starting the season with an awesome hard-packed, flat base with decent riding. The forecast for this weekend is for a lot of snow snow, Please get out and ride the trails as this will make it easier to groom after the big storm. 

The single digit temperatures have also allowed Sebago Lake to freeze over much of the lake. This has only happened over the last few days. Please remember that no lake is ever safe to cross. Use extreme caution! I could hear the lake 'cracking' last night, so pressure ridges will begin to form. Ride safe!
