October 2011
Updated 10/13/2011
It’s that time of year again. I don’t know about you but I’m getting itchy to ride!
We had our first meeting and potluck supper on October 4th and our Landowner Appreciation Dinner was November 1st. We also participated in the Statewide Cleanup on October 15th. We plan to take out loads of debris from the Middle Rd area. We’re in pretty good shape as far as trails and equipment but do have some trail work to be done in a few places and are always looking for help. The new Blazer and tracks are all mounted so this will be a great addition to our fleet of two Bombi’s, the Otter, and the original Blazer. I myself will sure enjoy not having to sit side-saddle in the Bombi for 6 hours! We still have to build a drag for the new Blazer but that should be progressing right along. Our 1st Annual Dave Davis Memorial Dance at the Roost was a huge success and we want to thank everyone who showed up. It was a fantastic night and we're already planning the 2nd Annual for April 28, 2012.
Please get your club due’s into Brenda Walker asap or you won’t be reading this paper next month. Membership is now $35.00 for family’s and Business members. Brenda can be contacted at 642-2083 or brendaw@psouth.net if you’d like a membership mailed to you or can volunteer some time on a weekend morning to do trail along.
If you live or ride in the area we’re always welcoming new members. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at the Standish Municipal Building on Rt 35. We start with a Potluck supper at 6:30 with the meeting to follow. Don’t forget to mark December 6 on your calendar. This is usually one of our biggest meetings and should also be our Christmas party and Yankee Swap. Santa usually makes an appearance unless he’s in Vegas so bring your little ones and a gift for each. It’s always a good time so come early and come hungry! Hope to see you there. Well that’s it for now. Get outside and let’s do the Snow Dance!

We'd like to thank everyone who helped make our 2011 Winterfest a great success. Between the raffle, rally entrance fee and Snack Shack the club raised almost $2000.00 to go towards our new groomer!
NOVEMBER 2010
Updated 11/23/2010
NOVEMBER 2010Greetings Sno-Seekers. We had a great turnout for our Landowner Appreciation Dinner. We'd like to thank the guest speakers from the Maine Warden Service, Portland Water District, and the Maine DOC. We'd also like to thank all the current business members who've rejoined this season. We're welcoming two new business members this season, Maine Street Grill and Mediocre Deli, to the growing number of local business' who support our club. Thank you all!
Our Christmas Party is coming up on December 7th. Remember to bring a gift under $10.00 for the Yankee Swap. Santa is expected to visit so folks with little ones should bring a gift for them too. Hopefully we'll have seen some sign of a white winter. We're waiting for our new set of tracks for a Blazer and the new drag. It's a good thing we bought these now because there will be NO Capital Equipment Grants available for 2011 purchases. We should be all set until the new Grant Process begins in 2012. Hopefully they'll get a good workout this winter.
Trail Help Wanted!Trail work has begun and we could use all the help we can get. A small group of volunteers have a major task of getting the trails ready and could really use some help on the weekend go a long way to helping ensure we have fantastic trails once the snow flies. Please email us at info@standishsnoseekers.com or contact our Trail Master, Bob Walker at 207-642-2083
